This program gives patients and their family members a strong psychological support network as well as a relaxing creative outlet and a vehicle for their blossoming talents.
In addition to open studio painting classes, craft, children’s and art therapy groups are offered. Sand tray therapy and music therapy are also available through Expression Through Art at no cost to the participants.
The program is funded by contributions to The Lauren Fund. The Lauren Fund was established in 1994 in memory of Lauren Leslie, a teenage patient at the Carl & Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center and original participant in the Expression Through Art Program.
