Arcadia Coffee Company's September art show will feature the photography of Greenwich, CT resident, Lucia Bucklin. The opening reception will be Sunday, September 9th 3-5 pm. Lucia's photographs will include local scenes from Fairfield County.
Photography became a second career for Lucia. She is originally from Canada and used to work as a headhunter many years ago. Lucia met her husband (whose American) when he was working in Toronto, married him and moved to the States. After the birth of their two daughters, she decided to return to college to study journalism. Lucia took photography classes to compliment the journalism and fell in love with the camera. When she took an "Alternative Processes" class, Lucia was introduced to Infrared and was hooked.
Lucia did work for a number of newspapers in Greenwich, CT. doing their news and sports photography, when she left over 3 years ago and decided to concentrate fine-art infrared images.
