Nadiya Hmelivska was born in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine. She graduated from the Kosiv College of Decorative Art where she received a Bachelor of Art, specializing in mural painting and then went on to get a Master of Interior Design at the Lviv Academy of Art in Lviv,Ukraine.
Her works have been exhibited in various locations in Ukraine, including the Kosiv Museum of Art, Art Musuem in Ivano-Frankivsk, Taras Shevchenko Musuem in Lviv, Seasons Art Gallery in Lviv and the Palace of Art in Lviv. Since coming to the United States in 2003, Nadiya has continued to produce art, and participated in the Darien Art Show in 2005 and the Stamford Art Association in 2005. She currently works from her studio in Stamford, Conn.
